MOORHEAD, Minn. -- Moorhead Police are investigating fight that drew a large crowd early Sunday morning.
Police said in a statement that they responded to a report of several persons fighting, involving a knife, a firearm, a taser and a shovel shortly after midnight Sunday. Officers encountered a large crowd they estimate at around 60 to 100 people.
Police say a 20-year-old Fargo, N.D., man was superficially stabbed in the buttocks. He was taken to a hospital for non-life threatening injuries. A 20-year-old West Fargo, N.D., man was struck in the head with a shovel and refused medical treatment. An 18-year-old Fargo man was struck in the head with a replica firearm and refused medical treatment.
Officers recovered a replica firearm, knives, and a taser at the scene. The incident remains under investigation.
Moorhead Police were assisted by Fargo Police, Dilworth Police, the Clay County Sheriff's Department and the Minnesota State Patrol.
