GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. -- KARE 11 is back on the air after a faulty receiver knocked the station off Comcast around 5:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.
It happened during KARE 11 Sunrise, pushing television sets across the Twin Cities Metro to black. Comcast technicians scrambled to diagnose the problem, and found it was a faulty receiver that the cable provider uses to recieve KARE 11's signal.
The problem was repaired, and KARE 11 rejoined the Today Show around 7:30 a.m. for the program's highly anticipated salute to Meredith Vieira on her last day.
We apologize for any inconvenience the signal outage may have caused, and thank viewers for their patience while repairs were made.
