MINNEAPOLIS -- Minneapolis restauranteur Thomas Pham has been charged with writing nearly $30,000 in bad checks.
The charge states that Pham wrote two bad checks to A-Z Restaurant Equipment in Princeton, Minnesota in March 2012.
Pham 's Wondrous Azian Kitchen in downtown Minneapolis closed this week. He is also the owner of St. Louis Park restaurant Thanh Do.
Pham's former restaurant, Azia, closed in 2010 but is set to re-open this fall on "Eat Street" Nicollet Avenue in Minneapolis.
The felony offense has a maximum sentence of 5 years in prison, $10,000 fine or both.
