GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - Minneapolis Animal Care & Control is partnering with Minnesota Spay Neuter Assistance Program to host a Spay-a-thon Tuesday, Feb. 26.
The event is designed to promote spaying and neutering as humane and effective ways to reduce the number of animals that are put down in shelters each year.
Jeanette Wiedemeier Bower from MACC joined us in-studio today to tell us more about the Spay-a-Thon.
The City of Minneapolis continues to work with the Minnesota Spay Neuter Assistance Program to offer free and low-cost spay/neuter surgeries for Minneapolis pets. Free surgeries are available to pet owners in several Northside neighborhoods, and low-cost surgeries are available to residents who qualify from across the city.
