Local melanoma survivor hosts upcoming research benefit

GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. -  Loren Wolfe shared his story of surviving stage 3 melanoma skin cancer Wednesday on KARE 11 News at 11. Cancer free for the past 2+ years, Loren is now promoting the upcoming Stay Out of the Sun Foundation's 1st annual melanoma research benefit on March 9th in Shakopee.

During the event, Loren will impersonate Johnny Cash as the master of ceremonies. There will also be a presentation by melanoma research oncologist Dr. Svetomir Markovic, as well as a dinner, silent auction, and music provided by The Wolf Brothers Boogie Band.

The benefit takes place March 9 at Turtle's 1890 Social Center in Shakopee from 5-9:30pm. For more information about the event, visit lorenwolfe.com.
