GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - November is National Adoption Awareness Month -- a time to celebrate all that adoption means to Minnesota families.
In Minnesota, adoption touches so many people's lives, whether they were adopted themselves, have children through adoption, or have made an adoption plan for their child.
Adoption Option Council of Minnesota is a nonprofit with 29 years of experience helping people understand adoption. Thursday morning, the organization's Executive Director Jenny Eldredge stopped by the KARE 11 studios to tell us more.
Creating a culture of support for adoption is very important in our state. The organization has just published a book, Minnesota Loves Adoption, to share the first person stories of birth mothers, adopted children and their families.
