Sweet Retreat's Christmas cupcake

GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. -- Want your almost homemade cupcakes look like they're from the bakery?

Chef Robin Johnson from Sweet Retreat Cupcake Boutique showed up some of her top secrets. 

Items Needed: (can be found at Michael's and/or a grocery store)-

Pastry bags, star tips, dragees, green food coloring, butter cream icing, waffle cones, cupcakes, flaked coconut.

Directions:

Take a frosted cupcake and invert it into a bowl of flaked coconut. Place some frosting around the rim of a waffle cone and place it on top of the coconut cupcake.

Mix the butter cream and green food coloring and place in a pastry bag with star tip. Gently squeeze little stars all over the waffle cone. Then decorate with dragees or whatever sprinkles or colored sugar you may have. Be creative and attach whatever you like with a toothpick at the top of the tree.
