GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - Dreaming of warmer, greener days?

Heidi Heiland of Heidi's Lifestyle Gardens joined KARE 11 News @ 4 to talk about some of the exciting new options in vertical gardening, new garden gadgets, and new plant varieties.

Heidi's gardening trends for 2013 include:

VERTICLE GARDENING:

This chartreuse trailing sedum is heat tolerant and drought tolerant. Perfect in containers or the landscape, it's easy to maintain, and thrives in full sun or part sun conditions.

- Crackling Fire® Begonia:
This new compact, mass-flowering begonia from Suntory Collection is available in four colors: hot pink, orange, creamy yellow, and white. It will flower continuously until the first frost, and will even bloom indoors under bright light.
