GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - Thirty-three years after legendary olympic hockey coach Herb Brooks and Team USA won gold, the memory of that victory is still alive and well and drawing crowds.
Dan Brooks, Herb's son, is sharing the medal with the public at this Friday's fundraiser for the Herb Brooks Foundation and he joined KARE 11 News @4 with the details.
The benefit is a concert featuring Jimi Jamison, legendary voice of Survivor, and the music at the MN Music Cafe gets underway at 8 p.m.
Those in attendance can also have their picture taken professionally with Herb Brooks' 1980 "Miracle on Ice" gold medal with the proceeds going to the Herb Brooks Foundation.
