GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn.- The 25th Annual Nobel Peace Prize Forum is about to get underway at Augsburg College and the University of Minnesota this weekend.

Two Nobel Peace Prize winners, Tawakkol Karman of Yemen and Muhammad Yunus of Bangldesh, are the featured speakers.

KARE 11 News @ 4 had the opportunity to speak with Tawakkol Karman about her work.

Karman is a mother of three as well as a human rights activist, journalist, politician, president of Women Journalists without Chains organization, and senior member of the Al-Islah political party.

Bold and outspoken, Karman has been imprisoned on a number of occasions for her pro-democracy, pro-human rights protests. Amongst Yemen's Youth movement, she is known as "Mother of the Revolution", "The Iron Woman", and more recently "The Lady of the Arab Spring."

The Nobel Peace Prize Forum is a unique civic learning experience that brings Nobel Peace Prize winners, civic leaders, and scholars together with students and other citizens.

The 25th Annual Nobel Peace Prize Forum takes place March 8-10, 2013.
