Cold or allergy? Symptoms to watch for

GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. -- Are you sneezing a lot? Maybe you have an itchy throat and red eyes? These symptoms might not be from a cold. Instead, you could have allergic rhinitis, also known as, hay fever.

Dr. Cherie Zachary, Pediatric and Adult Asthma and Allergy Specialist from Midwest Ear, Nose, & Throat Specialists joined KARE 11 News @4 to explain what brings in patients this time of year.

According to Mayo Clinic here are the symptoms to watch for-

Hay fever, or allergic rhinitis, may cause:

- Congestion
- Itchy, runny nose
- Itchy, watery or swollen eyes (conjunctivitis)
