GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - Northfield is putting out a high tech welcome mat. The historic river and college town, recently named "Best Small Town for a Weekend Visit" by the Star Tribune, has created a marketing campaign to showcase all that the town has to offer.
A new site launching today, ThisIsNorthfield.com, introduces the illustrated style and messaging of the full campaign, which will run in the Twin Cities and region through the summer.
"This campaign is about everything there is to do in and around Northfield. Our illustrations are reminiscent of the glamorous, golden age of travel - reflecting Northfield's historic assets and its arts culture, and showing Northfield as an exciting place to explore," Mary Schmelzer, executive director, Northfield Area Chamber of Commerce said. "Tourists who might come to us looking for something in particular will now be able to find out even more about our town at ThisIsNorthfield.com, to help them plan their trip."
