Synthethic ice rink to make debut at State Fair

GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn.-Can't wait for hockey season? Bring your skates or rent them at this year's state fair.

New this year for the fair is a synthetic ice rink where melting ice never happens. The ice rink tent will be Located at the N.E Corner of the Fairgrounds on Randall Ave. & Cosgrove - just north of the Fine Arts Building &
South of the Progress Center for Eco Experience (just kitty corner from Baldwin Park).

Mike Miller and his son, Mike Miller, Jr. joined KARE 11 News @4 to demonstrate the "ice."

The "ice" will be surrounded by NHL style dasher boards, hockey signs, banners, locker rooms and music too. You can also find skates and socks to rent for the perfect end of summer.

Cost is $3 for 10 minutes of skate time.
