GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - The 2013 lupus ambassador, Chris Cronick of New Brighton, stopped by to tell us about the upcoming Lupus Foundation of Minnesota Walk for Hope/5K Run this Saturday, September 14.
Chris told us how lupus affects her and others every day and how there's no single diagnosis or set of symptoms, making it difficult to detect.
The Walk for Hope, and other fundraisers, allows LFM to provide grants to prominent researchers in the field of lupus research. A portion of event proceeds will also support efforts to increase public awareness of the disease throughout Minnesota and beyond.
LFM works to improve the quality of life for people affected by lupus through support groups, trainings, education, and resource referrals
