GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - This year marks the 5th annual Give to the Max Day, Minnesota's 24-hour online giving marathon aimed at raising as much money as possible for nonprofit organizations and schools using GiveMN.org.
Donors can help their favorite causes win more than $200,000 in prize grants given out that day. Since its 2009 inception, GiveMN.org raised more than $75 million, thanks in part to the huge success of Give to the Max Day.
Spare Key, an organization that provides emergency housing payments to those in need, is hosting a bowl-a-thon Nov. 14 at Treasure Island. They're actually hoping to break a world record.
Donors have already committed $10,000 to be used as challenge funds during the event. To learn more, go to www.sparekey.org/donate/bowl-to-the-max-day.
