MINNEAPOLIS -- The Mississippi River Fund invites you to participate in their Bike with a Ranger program. The family friendly program is the perfect way to get out and explore the Mississippi River this summer.
Each bike ride is open to the public and is led by a Minnesota National Park Ranger that will make stops along the ride to teach the bikers about our national park.
The bike rides will take place on most Saturdays from June through September and will be between 9 and 14 miles long. Each journey starts at 10:00 a.m. and ends around 1:00 p.m. at the same location where the ride starts.
Bikers can choose from three different routes and each ride is limited to the first 20 people. The cost is $8 for non-members and $5 for Mississippi River Fund member. Bikers can register for the river journeys at missriverfund.org.
Participants must provide their own bike.
