Run for the Border to support Burmese Refugees July 11-14

BURNEVILLE, Minn.--Justin Hanson and nine other Twin Cities runners will be tackling a 100 mile run to support refugees of the Burmese civil war along the Burma-Thailand border. The run will take place July 11-14 and go from Bloomington to Red Wing and back.

This event is being organized by Justin Hanson, a sophomore distance runner at Lakeville North High School. Funds raised will be used to provide food for Burmese refugees .

On July 13th there will be a 5k, 10k, half marathon and a full marathon starting from Red Wing. If you are interested in donating to this cause you can call 952-886-7606, donate online or send a check made out to Venture Expeditions to 511 E Travelers Trail Burnsville, Minn. 55337. 

There is also a text to donate option for this event. Simply text "$5 HOPE to 45777 to donate five dollars. Five dollars provides 50 meals for refugees.
