ST. PAUL PARK, Minn--Jim Gorbunow of Cottage Grove has faced a variety of health complications in his life and has had both a kidney and pancreas transplant.
Jim has recently learned that he needs a second transplant and his brother Jason is a match. Jason will donate one of his kidneys to save his brother's life.
The National Foundation for Transplants (NFT) is hosting a car wash fundraiser to support Jim's medical costs on Sunday, August 25 at Broadway Bar & Grill in St. Paul Park. The event begins at 12 noon.
NFT is a non profit organization based in Memphis, Tenn. that has been helping transplant patients overcome financial obstacles since 1983.
