BLOOMINGTON, Minn.  --  Tens of thousands of walkers, runners, and supporters gathered at the Mall of America in Bloomington Sunday morning for the annual Susan G. Komen® Race for the Cure.

Each year, the Mother's Day event raises awareness and money to help better the lives of those facing breast cancer in our community.  The Twin Cities Race for the Cure continues to be one of the largest in the nation in the Susan G. Komen series.

On Sunday, bright sun and cool temps greeted an expected 50,000 participants in a 5k Run, 5k Walk, 1k Indoor Walk, 5k wheelchair race, survivor ceremony and health expo.

KARE 11 was again a media sponsor and hosted team photos at the Health Fair 11 KARE Corner.  Photos will be available for viewing and download on kare11.com early Sunday afternoon.
