BUFFALO, Minn. - A Wright County woman is charged with storing a methamphetamine pipe in the presence of a child after her 12-year-old son told his principal his mom was using narcotics.
A criminal complaint filed against 32-year-old Sabina Coolen says her son went to the principal and confided that his mom was using drugs, then produced a baggie filled with a small amount of white crystal powder. The principal took the baggie to law enforcement, who tested it and determined that the substance was meth.
Investigators then obtained a search warrant and went to Coolen's home in Chatham Township near Buffalo, where they found a safe containing an expired drivers license and a glass pipe with burned residue inside. That residue also tested positive for methamphetamine.
If convicted, Sabina Coolen faces a possible sentence of five years in prison.
