CHISAGO CITY, Minn. - Chisago County deputies are investigating the reported disappearance of an Oakdale woman who hasn't been seen or heard from since Sunday.
Sheriff Rick Duncan confirms his department is looking at the circumstances surrounding Danielle Jelinek's disappearence as a missing person case.
The department received a call from Jelinek's family on Sunday afternoon and went on a welfare check to a residence in Chisago Lake Township where she was last seen.
Duncan says deputies found personal items belonging to Jelinek inside the residence and arrested a man there for drug possession. The sheriff did not confirm whether that man is a suspect in Jelinek's disappearance.
Jelinek's sister Corey says the family will meet with investigators Tuesday afternoon to discuss the case and learn more about what may have happened to Danielle. Until then, deputies will continue investigating the case with help from the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA).
