HOPKINS, Minn. - A 55-year-old woman faces charges of child endangerment after leaving two young children in an unattended vehicle on Sunday night, according to the Hopkins Police Department.
Police were called to Lindee's Saloon and Eatery. They said that the two children were reported to be cold and not wearing proper clothing for the elements.
A restaurant patron found the children inside of a locked car that was not running. The children's aunt, who was caring for the children had been consuming alcohol inside the bar and then left in a taxi, police said.
The aunt is currently in custody at the Hennepin County Adult Detention Center.
The two children were unharmed.
