SAINT PAUL, Minn. - The Minnesota State Patrol says former GOP staffer Michael Brodkorb had a blood alcohol level of .10 on the night he was critically injured in a car accident.
The January 23 incident happened on 35E near Highway 13 in Mendota Heights. The State Patrol said Brodkorb ran off the road and struck the wall of a bridge before careening across the northbound lanes and into the median wall.
Authorities say Brodkorb was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. He was taken to Regions Hospital in critical condition.
On February 3, Brodkorb tweeted, "I owe a big thank you to my family and friends for their support over the last 11 days."
