BURNSVILLE, Minn. - The reward has been doubled to find a Burnsville woman's stolen urn.
Last month, while on vacation, Patti Eriksen learned that thieves had broken into her home and stolen something priceless.
Patti Ericksen says the morning she took off for Florida, she left the front door unlocked for her nephew, who lives with her. She estimates her door was unlocked for around 12 hours. In that time, burglars walked in, taking coins, jewelry, her laptop and her husband's ashes.
She was offering $1,000 to anyone who returns the urn, no questions asked.
On Thursday, Eriksen's brother offered to double the reward to $2,000.
