BUFFALO - The man initially arrested in the killing of Cold Spring-Richmond Police Officer Tom Decker, and later released without being charged, has pleaded guilty to stalking his ex-girlfriend in Wright County.
Ryan Michael Larson, 34, had been accused of a pattern of stalking that included calling his ex-girlfriend's employer and trying to get her fired, according to the criminal complaint against him.
Larson was arrested Nov. 29, the night Decker was shot to death behind Winners Sports Bar & Grill in Cold Spring. He spent four days in jail as a suspect in that murder before being released without being charged. He has maintained his innocence and said he had nothing to do with Decker's death.
Larson also told various media that he didn't have any contact with his ex-girlfriend after she got a restraining order against him in late August.
But he pleaded guilty Tuesday to the felony stalking charge and is scheduled to be sentenced May 7.
