MINNEAPOLIS - Frustrated by their lack of progress in finding a suspect, Minneapolis Police Homicide investigators are asking the public for help in identifying the driver in a fatal hit-and-run last weekend.
Squads were called to the intersection of 32nd Street and Snelling Avenue South early Saturday and found the body of a 42 year-old man laying in the street.
Officers found that the man was suffering from serious injuries after being hit by a car that then left the scene. The victim was rushed to to Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC) where he died from those injuries.
Five days after the deadly incident investigators still have no solid leads in the case. They are asking anyone who was near that intersection at 2:30 a.m. Saturday or anyone who may know the identity of the hit-and-run driver to call either 612-290-3676 or 612-290-5214.
