MINNEAPOLIS -- Highs may have topped 80 degrees this weekend but there are still signs of old man winter lingering.
Many metro lakes still have ice on them. The Wayzata Yacht Club was out on Lake Minnetonka Sunday trying to break up large sheets of ice so it wouldn't damage boats and the docks.
In Minneapolis, people enjoyed the sand and the ice on the north side of Lake Harriet.
"It's so funny that have the lake is still frozen. I was wondering when the sailboat will be out but not for a while I don't think," Maddy Colbert, who biked Lake Harriet on Sunday said.
While lakes continue to ice out this season, 2012 was one of the earliest ice out dates for lakes in the state.
