MINNEAPOLIS - Family members of a missing woman from Minneapolis say she has been found alive. Mari Michelle Ruddy, described as an active member of the Seward neighborhood, who is a type 1 diabetic, had been missing since Tuesday afternoon.
Mari's family released this statement Thursday afternoon: "Mari has just been found. We will provide more details as soon as we can. Privacy is requested until more information can be shared. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts."
Edina officials say a man spotted her sitting in a car at Highlands Park in Edina Thursday afternoon. When police and emergency crews arrived, Ruddy was unresponsive and taken to Fairview Southdale Hospital.
On Thursday evening, Mari's family posted an update on her condition: "Mari is currently in stable condition and in the ICU. We thank you again for all your efforts, support, and continued prayers. We will continue to share updates as we can."
