HINCKLEY, Minn. - Investigators from the Minnesota State Patrol are trying to locate the driver who struck a military veteran near a ramp on Interstate 35 in Hinckley late Monday and sped off.

The injured man, 24-year-old Trevor Langlois of Wyoming, MN, underwent hours of surgery at St Mary's Hospital in Duluth. Trevor's father Brian Langlois says his son has multiple fractures, internal injuries and head trauma.

Brian Langlois tells KARE 11 that Trevor had just purchased a truck near Hinckley to help him start a tree service. The truck apparently broke down near the ramp off Fire Monument Road, and Trevor was standing or walking on the right shoulder of the interstate when he was struck.

At this point the State Patrol has no description of the vehicle that hit Langlois.

Trevor Langlois is a veteran, and father of a two year old child.

Anyone who knows anything about the hit-and-run who who may be responsible is asked to call the Minnesota State Patrol in Duluth at 218-320-6127.
