NICOLLET TOWNSHIP, Minn. - Two people were injured when a hydraulic lift tipped over at a home in Nicollet County on Sunday afternoon.
Officials said the family was using the lift to pick apples from a tree on the side of a hill. They said the lift became top heavy and tipped on its side, ejecting three people and trapping one.
The homeowner was found pinned under the lift by his left leg. A second victim suffered injuries to her shoulder. The other two, one of which was a 4-year-old boy, were not hurt.
A Jaws of Life tool was used to pick the lift off of the man. A towing company was called to upright the lift.
The two people who were hurt transported to a Mankato hospital for treatment of injuries.
