GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - Paralympic gold medalist Mallory Weggeman is setting her sighs on a new goal: to walk again.
The Eagan native is working to fulfill her dream of walking again after a medical procedure left her paralyzed from the waist down when she was 18 years old.
Weggeman was in-studio on KARE 11 Sunrise to discuss her efforts to to raise money for what she calls "the journey of new mobility."
She has been fitted with customized leg braces.
It's the first step toward upward mobility for Weggeman.
