ARDEN HILLS, Minn. -- The Minnesota Department of Transportation will close the eastbound lanes of I-694 this weekend while they make road repairs.
MnDOT says that on Friday at 7 p.m. traffic on I-694 will be reduced to one lane between I-35W and Lexington Ave in Arden Hills, and at 10 p.m. all eastbound lanes will be closed.
While the interstate is closed, the ramp from eastbound I-694 to northbound I-35W and from northbound and southbound I-35W to eastbound I-694 will be closed. MnDOT says they will be detouring motorists on I-35W, east on Highway 36 and back north on I-35E.
Officials say that weather permitting, the roadway will reopen by 5 a.m. on Monday Sept. 9.
