ST. LOUIS PARK, Minn. -- Crave restaurant at the West End in St. Louis Park will be feeding those in need this Thanksgiving.
The restaurant will be closing its dining room in order to provide a traditional Thanksgiving meal to hundreds of individuals a the fifth annual Crave Cares initiative. Partnering with multiple organizations they find those who will benefit most from this event.
Crave Cares will offer the free meal from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thanksgiving Day. Staff and chefs will be donating their time during the event.
Savory Focaccia Stuffing
4 tablespoons butter
1 medium onion
2 celery stalks, cut crosswise
2 honey crisp apples
2 cups Andouille sausage medium diced
1 teaspoon ground sage
1 teaspoon dry thyme
10 cups dried Foccacia bread cubed
2 cups chicken stock
1/4 cup fresh parsley
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
2. Melt the butter in a large sauté pan, sauté the onion, celery, Andouille sausage, and the apples till soft, then add the salt, sage, and thyme.
3. In a large bowl mix the Foccacia bread, onion mixture and the whisked eggs, while gently adding in the chicken stock.
4. Place in Casserole dish and bake for 30 minutes.
