Randle, DeLaSalle win 3A semifinal

DeLaSalle's Jeremy Randle took the opening kickoff 92 yards, then added three straight rushing touchdowns as the Islanders sped past Perham 49-14 Thursday in a Class 3A semifinal game at the Metrodome. Randle finished the game with 132 yards on 15 carries and five touchdowns. DeLaSalle had a balanced offensive attack with Randle on the ground and quarterback Michael Van Leer and receiver A.J. Barker anchoring the passing game. Van Leer was 6 of 10 for 119 yards and two touchdowns, both to Barker. Marcus Hendrickson threw for 160 yards and one TD for the Yellowjackets, who trailed 35-7 at halftime. Nathan Schmitz led Perham's ground game with 128 yards on 16 attempts.
