Cretin-Derham Hall beats Brainerd, 56-14, and advances to Class 5A final

Cretin-Derham Hall stayed undefeated and advanced to the Class 5A title game with a 56-14 win over Brainerd. The Raiders scored on four of their first five possessions. Senior quarterback John Nance threw for 303 yards and six touchdowns. Michael Floyd caught five passes for 110 yards and a touchdown. Marcus Binns rushed for 99 yards and two touchdowns, while Shady Salaman gained 65 yards on nine carries. Brainerd quarterback Nate Schaefbauer completed 13 passes for 135 yards and two touchdowns. Warriors running back Colby Ring carried the ball 18 times for 125 yards. Cretin-Derham Hall will play for the state championship Friday, November 23, at 7pm. The Raiders will play the winner of Eden Prairie and Eastview.
