Dustin Jurek rushed for two touchdowns to lead defending state champion Glencoe-Silver Lake past Albany 22-8 on Friday in the Class 3A semifinals at the Metrodome. Jurek had 76 yards rushing and Matthew Muenchow had 105 yards and one touchdown rushing for the Panthers (13-0), who will play DeLaSalle of Minneapolis next Saturday on the second day of the Prep Bowl in a contrast of styles. Glencoe-Silver Lake relies on a big line and a pound-it-out approach while smaller DeLaSalle is a speed-based team. Kurt Schlangen had 125 yards rushing for the Huskies (11-2), who led 8-0 and still were up by two at halftime after Jurek scored on a 1-yard run on the final play of the first half. After the Panthers received the second-half kickoff, Muenchow raced through the defense for a 64-yard touchdown run -- giving them two touchdowns in two plays from scrimmage -- to lift his team to a 14-8 lead. Tony Schauer had 11 tackles and one sack for Glencoe-Silver Lake.
