Mustaches have come full circle. The iconic facial hair statement was relatively absent in the 90's and 2000's.

But mustaches are making a healthy come back, especially in Novmeber; or should I say "Movember."

On November 26th, during the Wild's game against Nashville, we are attempting to set a Guinness World Record for the most real mustaches in one place.

This idea originated from Wild defense man Nick Schultz's determination to help a family friend who was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2009.

After receiving the bad news about his friend, Schultz was turned on to "Movember," a non-profit organization that promotes men's health, particularly in November. The organization, started in 2004 by four Aussies at a bar, requires it's supporters to grow mustaches during November. It serves as the ultimate conversation starter to talk about mens health. Since "Movember" started, the organization has raised over 100 million dollars for cancer research.

On November 1, 2009 Schultz started growing his mustache on November 1st. Next thing he knew, his Wild teammates were growing mustaches as well to support Schultz and mens health.

This Movember, Nick and his Wild teammates need the fans to join in and grow mustaches as well in time for the November 26th game.

KARE-11 Extra: Mustaches galore for Minnesota Wild and fans

Fans who grow mustaches will be apart of the World Record, promote men's health, and get to come on the ice following the game to take a group picture with members of the Wild.

I started growing my mustache recently.  Its hard to say right now how good or bad the 'stache will be, but I'm leery.  Truthfully, we need you, the fan, the grow your mustache.  Not only will it help us break a world record, but its for a fantastic cause.

By the way, is it mustache or moustache?

I'm David Watkins, and I'll try harder next time.
