MANKATO, Minn. -- Mankato police arrested Vikings quarterback Rhett Bomar early Sunday morning for alleged drunken driving.
According to the Blue Earth County Jail, Bomar was taken into custody around 5:15 a.m. and booked on probable cause third-degree DWI. He was released by Sunday evening.
The Vikings picked up the 26-year-old quarterback in late December from the New York Giants practice squad. Bomar has been getting practice reps behind Donovan McNabb, first-round pick Christian Ponder and Joe Webb.
The Vikings reported to training camp in Mankato one week ago.
