ST. CLOUD, Minn. - The license of a daycare provider in St. Cloud may be suspended after he was accused of abusing two small children.

Police arrested the suspect Tuesday near the intersection of 21st Avenue and 3rd Street North.

Authorities say the man was walking with the children and used force to restrain them. The children suffered non-life threatening injuries, were treated and released from St. Cloud Hospital.

The 67-year-old man was arrested for felony malicious punishment of a child. He was booked into the Stearns County Jail. Officials charges have yet to be filed.

The suspect helps run an in-home daycare in St. Cloud.

The State of Minnesota is in the process of temporarily suspending the man's license.
