LAKE ELMO, Minn. - A backyard fundraiser that was canceled earlier this summer because of a big mistake is coming back to life on Sunday.
In July, Rob Olson had to cancel his annual benefit for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation because he used the wrong weed killer and inadvertently killed almost all of the grass on his 40,000 square foot lawn.
KARE 11's Boyd Huppert shared Olson's dilemma and the story went viral.
Now, with the help of local companies, the benefit is back on. The Pourhouse in downtown Minneapolis has stepped in to host the fundraiser this Sunday, featuring music by Bret Michaels among others.
On Wednesday, crews from Scotts started re-seeding Olson's yard for future fundraisers.
