MINNEAPOLIS - Wayzata freshman Amanda Urke led the Trojans to their sixth consecutive state synchronized swimming championship last week.
Amanda was a four event winner. She won this event, the extended solo, but also was part of the winning extended figures team, plus extended duet and extended team. Her coach says Amanda is a hard worker, persistent and dedicated to the sport. She's competed in varsity synchronized swimming since 7th grade.
Thanks in part to Amanda's efforts, Wayzata won the team championship scoring 155 points.
