MINNEAPOLIS - The last time the Gopher women's gymnastics team qualified for the NCAA Championships was in 2002.
That's also the last time they were ranked in the top 10. That is until this magical 2013 season.
The Gophers leave for Los Angeles on Wednesday, where they will compete as one of 12 teams competing for the national title.
Head coach Meg Stephenson has a loaded stable of talent, led by three All Big Ten team selections.
Friday at Pauley Pavilion on the campus of UCLA, they will go through their rotations in hopes of advancing to Saturday's "Super Six" where a champion will eventually be crowned.
Perk sat down with a couple of the team's sensational sophomores, Kylie Schermann and Cierra Tomson to talk about the season so far, and the trip to California.
