MINNEAPOLIS - This year's Mariucci Classic matchup are set.
The University of Minnesota announced the teams and matchups for the 23rd annual event, which will be held the first weekend in January.
Ferris State, Colgate and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) will join the Gophers' annual holiday tournament.
Ferris State and RPI will kick off the competition on Friday, Jan. 3 at 4 p.m. The Gophers take on Colgate at 7 p.m.
The winners of both Friday matchups will face off on Saturday as will the losing teams. Minnesota will play in the 7 p.m. game on Saturday no matter the result of Friday's games with the first game of the day set for 4 p.m.
Minnesota is 6-0-0 all-time against Colgate with the last meeting between the two teams in 2001. The Gophers are 3-1-1 against Ferris State and 9-2-0 against RPI.
