MINNEAPOLIS - The top-ranked Minnesota men's hockey team overcame a slow start Friday night against No. 19 Minnesota Duluth to win 6-1 at Mariucci Arena.
Friday's game was the the first game of a two-game series. The game saw six different Gophers score goals. Goalie Adam Wilcox stopped a career-high 36 shots in a winning effort.
With victories in its last four game, Minnesota is 9-1-1 on the year.
Saturday's game is set for 4 p.m. against Minnesota Duluth. The Gophers will wrap up a six-game homestand next weekend when it hosts No. 12 Wisconsin in its inaugural Big Ten conference series.
