The new head football coach at the University of St. Thomas is no stranger to the city of St. Paul.
Glenn Caruso was named the new head coach after being in the same position at nearby Macalester College, just ten blocks away from St. Thomas.
Caruso, 33, has been coaching for the past 12 years, including six years at North Dakota State.
"We found a gem in our own backyard," St. Thomas athletic director Steve Fritz said. "Glenn has an excellent personality and a stellar resume. He comes highly recommended, and you feel his passion for Division III football and teaching young men. We look forward to many years of success under his leadership."
Caruso becomes the 29th head coach in the school's 104-year history of football. He replaces Don Roney, who resigned from the position last November after 10 season at St. Thomas.
