ST. PAUL, Minn. - It's always better to be a hero rather than a goat in sports, but Timberwolves' forward Corey Brewer still likes goats.
The native of Portland, Tenn. is back with the Wolves this season, after originally being drafted by them. He spent the last few seasons in Denver and in Dallas where he won a world championship.
When Brewer was in the 7th grade, his father bought a goat. Corey became attached to the farm animal and still has the goat, whose name is Billy Wayne Brewer.
I got the lowdown from this animal-loving basketball player, while visiting the swine barn at the State Fair.
