MINNEAPOLIS - Kevin Williams has renegotiated his contract with the Minnesota Vikings, according to a report by 1500espn.com.
The report credited a source that says Williams' contract will change from a non-guaranteed $7 million for 2013 to a fully-guaranteed $4.9 million. The move makes it extremely likely that Williams will play his 11th season with the Vikings.
Under terms of the renegotiation, Williams will become a free agent after the 2013 season.
The move also saves the Vikings $2.5 million on the 2013 salary cap.
Williams was selected No. 9 overall by Minnesota in the 2003 NFL Draft. He played his college football at Oklahoma State University.
