SAINT PAUL, Minn. - The Minnesota Wild goalie carousel keeps spinning with the club announcing that Matt Hackett has been promoted from the Houston Aeros.

Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher made the announcement Friday in conjunction with placing goaltender Darcy Kuemper on Injured Reserve.

The team also activated right wing Cal Clutterbuck from Injured Reserve.

Hackett joins the Wild for the first time this season after playing in 42 games with Houston, posting a 19-19-3 record and 2.56 golas against average. Hackett celebrated his 23rd birthday yesterday.

Last season, Hackett set an NHL record for the longest shutout streak to start a career at 102:48 and went 3-6-0 with a 2.37 GAA for the Wild.

Clutterbuck returns to the Wild lineup after missing the last six games with a lower-body injury suffered in Edmonton on Feb. 21. The 25-year-old has four points (2-2=4) in 16 games with Minnesota this season.

Kuemper was placed on Injured Reserve after stopping 14-of-15 shots in relief Tuesday in Chicago. The 22-year-old has posted a 1-2-0 record and 2.22 GAA in his first four NHL games after being recalled from Houston Feb. 12.
